There are two types of solar panel. Poly-crystalline panels are generally less efficient and costly than mono-crystalline panels. Look for efficiency when choosing what to invest in.
In order to maximize the benefits of solar panels, you should select those that do not completely rely on the sun shining at all times. New solar energy systems can store a great deal of energy so that you can make complete use of your system 24/7, 365 days a year. If you use a lot of energy at home in the evening, this is a good thing.
Efficient solar panels are able to be moved. If you have to put in panels with fixed angles, try to position it so it will work for both winter and summer months.
If you decide to lease your solar energy unit instead of buying it, make sure your contract offers you the ability to transfer your lease. This is essential if you plan to sell your home before it's paid off. If you can transfer it to the new owners, you'll be fine.
Is solar energy the right option for your house? There are several things to consider. If you're living in a remote location without being connected to a utility grid, solar energy may be a great option for you. It is a good alternative for you if you can afford the initial investment to cut down on the impact of your energy usage on the environment.
If you're hesitant to completely convert to solar energy, start out with a solar attic fan. The fan will have a temperature sensitive gauge and switch itself on when necessary. Heat is removed from the air, requiring less energy by your A/C unit. A good solar powered attic fan will help cool your house and not cost anything to run.
You can get started with solar power by installing a small system to light your exterior lights or get a solar powered hot water heater. Exterior lights can be powered at night by the power of the sun which is gathered during the day. They are a set-and-forget way to improve your outdoor space.

If your area gets unobstructed sunlight for a minimum of five hours each day, your home can get what it needs from solar panels. If you enjoy cloudy or snowy days often during wintertime, you are going to want to look at other green energy options.

Walk of Fame restoration project complete The City of Sault Ste. Marie is pleased to announce that its Walk of Fame restoration project is now complete. At an unveiling ceremony this morning, the Sault's Canada 150 Honorary Chair and one of the City's first Walk of Fame recipients Dr. Roberta Bondar unveiled the display case located at the Art Gallery of Algoma, one of four locations throughout the downtown. "It is great to see these maple leaf granite awards back in the view of the public as each recipient represents a contribution to Sault Ste. Marie's history," says Councillor Susan Myers, Walk of Fame Reinstatement Committee Chair. "It is an appropriate end to Canada's 150 celebrations for our community." Over the years, structural damage to the concrete sidewalk caused the original award stones to deteriorate. Earlier this year, Council passed a resolution to form a committee that included Paul Scornaienchi from the Downtown Association, Councillors Susan Myers, Steve Butland and Matthew Shoemaker to analyze a new means of displaying the granite maple leaf awards. Council subsequently approved placement of granite maple leaf awards in four display cabinets in the downtown area. The four cabinets, built by the City's Public Works and Engineering carpentry https://www.forbes.com/sites/neilyeoh/2017/11/18/yes-even-millennial-households-can-afford-solar-energy/ shop, have now been installed at the Memorial Tower, the Essar Centre, March Street parkette and at the entryway of the Art Gallery of Algoma. The Walk of Fame Award is given to individuals or groups for outstanding athletic, cultural, academic or humanitarian achievement. Nominations can be submitted to the City Clerk by March 31 of each year. The Walk of Fame award recognition program began in 2006 with a total of 40 recipients having received the award to date. An induction ceremony was held each year celebrating that year's inductees. Residents are encouraged to stop by the various new cabinet locations and take a selfie with your favourite 'walk of famer' using #SSMfameselfie. All entries will be placed in a draw to win a Sault Ste.http://saultstemarie.ca/Newsroom/December-2017/Walk-of-Fame-restoration-project-complete.aspx?feed=news
